Corem has signed a seven-year lease with Smartoptics, a company that provides optical networking solutions for data transport, for approximately 4,100 sq.m. in the property Helgafjäll 2, Torshamnsgatan in Kista, Stockholm.

Smartoptics is an existing tenant of Corem and in Kista, now relocating to a new address and expanding its premises by an additional approximately 1,800 sq.m. The new premises will be adapted to the company’s operations and provide a more representative office as well as expanded premises for laboratories, warehousing, and training. At the same time, a technical upgrade of the building’s infrastructure will be carried out, leading to reduced energy consumption, enhanced sustainability, and more efficient property management. Occupancy is planned for the second quarter of 2026.

"We look forward to continuing our long-term collaboration with Corem in premises which are modern and more suited to our needs. The move not only means we increase capacity, but also creates a work environment which supports our growth and strengthens our development in lab, storage, and training operations," said Magnus Grenfeldt, CEO at Smartoptics.

"We are pleased to continue our good collaboration with Smartoptics and welcome them to expanded, modern and customized premises, which are being designed to meet their needs. With excellent transport connections and relative proximity to the city, we see Kista as an excellent and strategic location, and the cluster of companies operating in the area adds further value and positive ripple effects," said Anna Lidhagen Ohlsén, Property manager at Corem.
